Strawberry Longan ♥

It was one Sunday afternoon, when my friend Roselle moved apartment from Jurong to Outram Park. After hours of unpacking and arranging her closet, she realized she needed a new bed sheet and so we decided to wander around Smith Street (Chinatown) as it was just few minutes away from where she is staying. After she bought what she wanted, I asked her whether we could grab some desserts at second level first before we head back to her place and she agreed.

She ordered Ice Kachang (was it?) & I had this - strawberry longan. I love strawberries. I actually wanted strawberry milk ice but since they didn't have it I settled with this. It was equally nice but "intriguing". Roselle and I were both wondering what those "eyes-looking-small-things" were, so we asked the Auntie selling it, but she didn't know what they are as well. They are seeds, YES! but seeds of what? Until now it is still a mystery to us!

I love their Subway Melt and Chicken Teriyaki using Hearty Italian bread. I always ask to put all veggies EXCEPT pickles and jalapenos. I order it in meal, with 2 cookies, usually M&M and Chocolate Chips and Ice Lemon Tea. As for the sauce, it has always been Honey Mustard and Mayonnaise. ♥

Siomai ♥

Chinese call it 'shumai', Cantonese term it 'siumai', 'shaomai' for Jiangnan and 'siomai' for Filipinos and Indonesians.

I used to eat this everyday during my University years especially after a very hard exam. aha! ♥

Benten Cafe ♥

We were looking for a place to dine at Jurong Point (Boon Lay), out of curiosity, we settled at Benten Cafe. It's an open-concept stall, one could practically see what you are eating and maybe, 'how' you are eating it. :-)

The food wasn't really that "FANTASTIC" but I must say for $20 for the 2 meals, it was already ok.

They served really huge ICE CREAM that can be eaten by 3-5 people. A definitely must-try. ♥

I usually go here with my family for lunch after a Sunday mass. We love the Classic Roast Chicken, Macaroni & Cheese, Mashed Potato, Brownie ala Mode and the Rootbeer Float.. ♥
